11U/12U Assessments
It is the goal of Electric City to provide a lower level of stress to our youngest Classic players. Therefore, the 11U and 12U will go through an assessment rather than a tryout. The assessment will be used to provide feedback on player development, place players on the appropriate teams, and find out interest for fall and spring teams.
The assessment will be a practice where all players will participate with a staff coach.
We will attempt to place all players in this age group on a team if numbers allow. Players who do not come to be assessed on the proper day or makeup date are not guaranteed a spot on a team. It is very important that if you wish to play fall or spring that you attend the assessment.
13U - 19U Tryout Evaluations:
The tryout process is structured to be fair and unbiased. All players will be assigned a unique number that will be used on the assessment form for identification. Names are not used. Please retain this number for future reference.
Tryouts assessors are respective age level coaches, ECSA DOC, and trainers. Assessors use a standard assessment form for all tryouts. Players are scored on technical, tactical and physical play. Assessors are encouraged to write objective comments to help with the formation of teams.
Formation of Teams:
The number of teams at each age group is determined by the number of players trying out, the minimum roster size and the ability of the group as a whole to be placed in Classic, Classic Plus or State leagues.
ECSA Tryout Committee will make every effort to form a team for all players who try out. In doing so they may decide to combine two age groups to form a team. (Example 14U/15U as some players will be playing high school soccer and are only available for a ½ season.). Teams will be formed appropriately based on skill level.
Offer Period:
ECSA will extend offers to players who then have 48 hours to accept or decline the offer. Coaches have the right to give players more time to consider the offer at their discretion.

Accepting Offers
Players have a limited amount of time to accept their offer and register for a team. Players who register by July 8th will get their tryout fee credited to their registration.
ECSA Rules:
-
Registration fees are non-refundable. Teams are formed based on tryouts. Dropping out at a later date may jeopardize whether that team has enough players to still play.
-
Some age levels have multiple teams while some age levels may not have enough to field a team. ECSA reserves the right to combine a team based on the number of attendees at tryouts and will be communicated in the offer.
-
In order to ensure that teams have adequate players, ECSA reserves the right to rescind an offer based on the number of declined offers. Example: 11U Girls have 12 girls who were sent offers. Four offers were declined and only eight accepted. Having only eight players is not enough to field a team. ECSA tryout committee will discuss team formation and notify players if there are not enough players to form a team.
